COVERAGE SUMMARY
This plan offers comprehensive protection for your Drone/UAV, covering accidental damage, theft, and third-party legal liabilities as detailed below:

DETAILED SECTION-WISE COVER
Section 1 – Accidental Damage to Drone/UAV
- Covers repair or replacement of the Drone/UAV or its spares accidentally damaged during the policy period.
- Deductible: 5% of the Sum Insured per claim.
- Total Loss: 50% of Invoice Value reimbursable.
- Liability Cap: Insurer’s liability shall not exceed the Sum Insured or Invoice Value, whichever is lower.
- Proof Required: Photographs, maintenance logs, and repair estimate.
Section 2 – Theft
- Applicable for total loss of Drone/UAV due to theft
- Documents Required: FIR, Final Untraceable Report, Invoice Copy.
- Payout: 50% of Invoice Value post verification.
- Liability Cap: Insurer’s liability shall not exceed the Sum Insured or Invoice Value, whichever is lower.
- Salvage Ownership: Transfers to the insurer upon claim settlement.
Section 3 – Legal Liability to Third Parties (Provides indemnity for) :
- Bodily injury or death of third parties
- Damage to third-party property
- Legal defence costs approved by the insurer
Liability Cap: Maximum Up to ₹1,00,000 (Rupees One Lakhs) aggregate per policy period.
DEFINITIONS OF THEFT (For Clarity)
“Theft” under this policy shall mean the unlawful taking or removal of the insured Drone/UAV without the owner’s consent, with the intention to permanently deprive the owner of possession. The following must be established:
- Unlawful Taking: Unauthorized act of removal or taking away.
- Lack of Consent: The owner has not granted permission for such removal.
- Intent: Clear intent to permanently deprive ownership.
- Ownership: Property belongs to another person.

GENERAL EXCLUSIONS
- Loss due to war, invasion, rebellion, or terrorism.
- Flight beyond DGCA-approved zones (e.g., night flying, BVLOS operations).
- Nuclear or radioactive contamination.
- Seizure or confiscation by governmental authorities.
- Gradual wear & tear, mechanical/electrical breakdown.
- Operation by untrained or unauthorized personnel.
- Negligent handling, poor maintenance, or improper storage.
- Cyberattacks, GPS jamming, or unexplained disappearance.
GENERAL CONDITIONS
- The Insured must take reasonable steps to safeguard the Drone/UAV.
- Any loss must be reported to the insurer within 15 days of occurrence.
- Complete claim documentation to be submitted within 90 days.
- No repair or dismantling permitted without prior insurer approval.
- Salvage becomes insurer property upon total loss settlement.
- Policy may be cancelled with 30 days’ written notice by either party.
- Premium must be received by WIAS before policy commencement for validity.
CUSTOMER RESPONSIBILITIES
- Operate Drone/UAV strictly under DGCA guidelines.
- Maintain flight and maintenance logs.
- Store Drone securely when not in use.
- Report theft immediately and submit FIR copy.
