Complementing the thermal sensor, a large 1/0.98-inch optical wide camera with f/1.8 aperture and AI low-light processing yields full-color situational visibility even in pitch darkness.

The Matrice 5T combines onboard solid-state LiDAR, millimeter-wave radar, and binocular vision into a unified multi-spectral perception shield. It detects thin overhead transmission wires, tree branches, and construction cranes even at night or in heavy fog, automatically planning avoidance paths around obstacles.

An open onboard Edge AI computing engine enables custom Pilot 2 plugins, running real-time defect classification, thermal anomaly alerts, and automated subject tracking directly on the aircraft without cloud dependency.

The Matrice 5T incorporates a native 1280×1024 sensor with over 1.3 million pixels—delivering four times the detail. When UHR mode is enabled, real-time super-resolution synthesis compiles 2560×2048 feeds at 30 fps, enabling operators to identify minute heat leaks, high-voltage insulator cracks, or missing persons through tree canopies from much higher, safer stand-off altitudes.
What operational benefits do the O4 Enterprise transmission relay modes offer? +
In mountain rescue operations, deep quarry surveys, or urban high-rise inspections, direct line-of-sight signals to the ground controller are often obstructed.
