DJI's first action camera with mechanical variable aperture. Open up to f/2.0 for low-light and shallow focus, stop down to f/4.0 for bright outdoor exposures and motion blur control. Action 5 Pro and every GoPro are stuck at fixed aperture.

8K at 30fps — DJI's first action camera at this resolution. RockSteady is limited at 8K, and 8K downloading and editing currently requires iPhone 15 Pro or later. Maximum ISO is 12800 in normal mode, 6400 in D-Log M.

Need to know.
Should I upgrade from Action 5 Pro?+
Worth it if you specifically want variable aperture, the larger square sensor, or 8K capture. Less compelling if you mainly shot 4K — the workflow advantages of Action 5 Pro (industry-first tracking, 13.5 stops DR, mature ecosystem) are largely retained. Photo resolution is slightly lower (38 MP vs 40 MP).
Is 8K really useful?+
Niche. 8K is 16:9 only, RockSteady is limited at 8K, and ISO maxes out at 12800 normal / 6400 in D-Log M. Editing 8K footage currently requires iPhone 15 Pro or later for downloads. Most users will shoot 4K/60 with the variable aperture as the headline feature.
What's the Macro Lens accessory?+
Optional accessory sold separately for close-up product shots and detail work. Mounts to the standard housing thread. Useful for makers, food creators, and anyone shooting subjects under 30 cm away. Not bundled with the camera.
Does it work with existing Action accessories?+
Most mounts and quick-release plates from Action 4/5 Pro are compatible with Action 6. The body is slightly larger (149 g vs 146 g) so check tight-fit cases — protective skins may need to be Action 6-specific. The Waterproof Case is Action 6-specific.
Warranty and after-sales support+
1-year DJI manufacturer warranty, 7-day replacement on manufacturing defects, and optional AMC for accidental damage. All repairs at our in-house facility in Sector 66 Gurgaon.
