Folds to A5.
Mirrorless-first.
Folded footprint of 180×190 mm — same as a sheet of A5 paper. Built around carbon fiber and aluminium for a 1.2 kg gimbal weight. Optimised for mirrorless cameras up to 3 kg, including Panasonic S1H with 24-70mm zoom — heavier than mainstream RP/A7C class bodies.
Smoother footage.
Less manual input.
Titan Stabilization Algorithm handles the brushless motors with predictive movement compensation. Reduces operator input required for clean tracking shots. SuperSmooth mode adds extra dampening for telephoto lenses up to 100mm equivalent — useful for documentary and event work.
1-inch OLED.
On-gimbal control.
Built-in 1-inch OLED screen displays camera data and gimbal settings. Adjust ISO, shutter, white balance directly from the gimbal without reaching for the camera. Reduces the need to mount a phone with the Ronin app for routine parameter changes.
Foldable arm.
New angles.
The foldable design enables Briefcase mode — sling the main arm forward for low-angle and reverse-cradle shots. Vertical filming is supported by folding the arm into the vertical orientation, no separate bracket required. Practical for walk-and-talk creators delivering social cuts.
ActiveTrack 3.0.
Via RavenEye.
Add the optional RavenEye Image Transmission System to enable ActiveTrack 3.0 — the gimbal pulls the source signal directly from the camera and tracks subjects automatically. Also unlocks Force Mobile (gimbal mimics phone movement) and 1080p/30fps remote view to a phone up to 200m away.
14 hours.
2 hours to full.
Built-in 3400 mAh 18650 battery delivers 14 hours of runtime — the longest in the entry-tier Ronin range. Fast-charges in approximately 2 hours with 18W PD or QC 2.0 chargers. Charges while in use, useful for extended event coverage from a small power bank.

RSC 2 vs RS 4 Mini.
RSC 2
2020 generation
RS 4 Mini
2024 generation
Need to know.
RSC 2 in 2025 — should I still buy it?+
Honest answer: RS 4 Mini is the better entry-level Ronin today if budget allows. RSC 2 is 5 years old and lacks auto axis locks, native vertical, and the Intelligent Tracking Module. The cases where RSC 2 still makes sense: you specifically need the 3 kg payload (RS 4 Mini caps at 2 kg) AND the lightest possible carry — RSC 2 stays at 1.2 kg even with that higher payload.
What cameras has it been tested with?+
RSC 2 supports tested payloads up to 3 kg — Sony A7 III/IV, Canon R5/R6, Nikon Z6/Z7/Z6 II, Panasonic S5/S1H with mid-range zooms. The Panasonic S1H with 24-70mm f/2.8 is the heaviest officially-supported combination. For full compatibility lists, check DJI's RSC 2 support page or contact us.
Standalone vs Pro Combo — what's the difference?+
Standalone includes the gimbal, USB-C cable, lens support, Quick-Release Plate, multi-camera control cables, and Extended Grip/Tripod (plastic). Pro Combo adds the RavenEye Image Transmission System, Focus Motor, Phone Holder, Tripod Grip, and a redesigned carrying case. Pro Combo unlocks ActiveTrack 3.0 — the standalone version cannot use it.
Compatible with newer DJI accessories?+
Limited. RSC 2 predates the RS Series Universal Accessories standard, so newer Focus Pro Motors, BG21/BG30 grips, and 2024-era accessories are NOT compatible. The RSC 2 ecosystem is RavenEye, the original Ronin Focus Motor, the Twist Grip Dual Handle, and the original Tethered Control Handle. Plan accessory purchases accordingly.
